Hi all - I dropped the darn motor (being an idiot) and now in the mkt for a replacement blade. Wondering if there are motors from same era/shaft size that came with 3 blade props? This was a 2 blade but id prefer a 3 - top speed isnt a priority as pushing along into wind/current is -

thanks

The only one listed are the 2 bl 6p and the 3 bl 5 p. Both are obsolete so not much choice.

I think with a 4 horse motor, the 2 blade is the better choice. A 3 blade will suck more HP and torque away that the motor just doesn't have. You may need a bigger motor if you fight wind and current all the time.

Here is a new 8 spline 2 blade, 9 inch with 9" pitch, it may be too deep a pitch for a 4HP motor. I don't know the diameter of your prop.

thanks- maybe ill stick with the 2 blade.. yes hopping along on one leg! Wish this motor had 2 cylinders, esp since its so heavy yikes! Love the design though..

Pulled apart all the corroded wiring last night, she was running badly yesterday - jerking around and accelerating slow (I cleaned carb out and plug) - hopefully she will be smooth today.. Replaced all wires coming out of the coil assembly to outside / soldered and secured and sleeved for added protection.. Other than that she starts quite easy - Ordered impeller today as well..

Well good news - she started up today and she seems to be running tops.. accelerates well and putt-putts nice and choppy at idle. Will hopefully get to make a video once I find a replacement prop..
