3 button trim switch issue??

well after the down time in winter was happy to get out in water. well went home replaced bellowsdo to unknown issue still confused about but. main issue went to adjust the trim limit switch and had key on and turned the switch well?? nothing would happen and on the 3 button the in will work the up only works with the in/out pushed at same time? is the up button suppost to work when its pushed by its self?? if some please let me know. and also i have a cylinder the would hook up to the trim lines but this boat didnt have it when i rebuilt her should i install it just incase thats the problem? thank you for any input.

I think the trailer position requires 2 buttons to achieve the highest position. Normally the other buttons are for up, and down, only.

bottom button = down/in

middle button = up/out for trim range only

top button = used in conjunction with middle (up) button to tilt up to trailer position

your trim limit switch is either out of adjustment or broken

Sounds like your trim limit switch is way out of adjustment, or not working. Run the outdrive all the way down, and give it a try. The switch only makes contact when the outdrive or switch is in a certain range, so if it does not work try repositioning the switch to see if you can a place where it does work, and adjust from there.
