The 2 orings nearest the uni-joints are the same as your old one the new oring nearer the splines is for a slightly smaller one and seals the new greaseable coupler all three orings come in the bell-housing gasket set.

Thanks Chris, would I be able to get away with getting that third o ring fron an auto parts store? And if not would you happen to know the part number to the seal kit? My boat is an 88 sea ray and I assume if I look up the seal kit for those specs it will only show the two seals.

The old gasket set supersedes to the new one, so go to the local Merc dealer and get a new gasket kit. As you have the drive off you should be replacing the gasket anyway. The kit number is 27-94996Q2 and that has all the parts in it.... If you insist on just putting a single new 'O' ring on, then it's a 119 (0.924 ID/0.103 CS)... Re-using the old gasket runs the risk of filling the bell-housing with seawater... Not a good look.... :D

Chris........
BTW, we don't need to know what the boat is, we do need to know what the engine and drive are, preferably with serial numbers....

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... The drive gasket set is 18-2619-1 here at iboats,...

It's the Gen.II gasket set, but fits from the MC-1 on up,...

Re: 3 o ring engine coupler shaft

Thanks for the welcome! I ordered a bell gasket kit with my parts and it only came with 3 o rings one I am assuming one is for the water intake and the other two for the yoke, I have a few o rings here that fit real nice and they go in to the coupling real nice and I can hear air being pushed out when I insert it so I know I am getting a good seal, if this third o ring only seals grease can I just use what I have here?

You got sold old stock.... All genuine Mercruiser gasket kits for drives from 1983 and up supersede to the latest kit (which does all drives from 'R' to current, and has 4 'o' rings in it). If you have a spare 119 'o' ring, yes you can use that....
