Was recently thinking about adding a set of lights on the front of my toon for landing fish at night, and drew up a print using common toggle switch's and thought I would toss it out for any one to use. I have 2 seperate fishing stations and it would be handy to be able to turn it on or off from each location.

That's the standard way all 3 way switches are wired including your house.

The wire color code you have shown makes no sense and conflicts with established practices. YELLOW is reserved for the negative conductor in DC systems. GREEN is reserved for non-current-carrying bonding or ground conductors. You should not use either YELLOW or GREEN insulated conductors to carry lighting current. Lighting circuits should have conductors with BLUE insulation in the positive portion of the circuit.

If he changes both those colors to red would you be happy or does only blue cut it? Of course there is really no reason to have two colors anyway between the two switches.

It does not matter to me how the OP wires his boat. I would never have mentioned it, except the OP presented his installation as a suggestion for others to follow. If you want to suggest that a boat should be wired with crazy choices of insulated wire color, you will have to accept the notion that readers may not be too keen to follow you off the recommended path and into the weeds.

The positive circuit in boat lighting circuits should be carried on conductors with BLUE insulation, according to recommended practice. The BLUE insulation conductor would begin at the switch or circuit breaker controlling the circuit and continue to the load on the circuit.

I am all for following accepted practices and all but really? Do you really have that big an issue with this? For cabin lighting?

Thank you very much Bruce. I was very sure you would know what it is. And the thing is yellow, green and brown is the excpeted colors for trailer wiring sure dosnt follow that coding, and over the years I have found that each manufactrue uses thier own coding.

And it is corrected.
