The motor I recently purchased does not have the internal fuel filter that leads to the fuel pump. It looks like the previous owner ran the hose directly to the fuel pump. Will this cause any problems. Can I use an in line filter from the tank. Thanks<br /><br />Carl Vicars

yes but the original would actually trap some water as well. but an inline will work.
