30 feet 1-engine detroit 2 outdrives ??

hello everyone

Im here to ask if any of you know a boat brand that uses a Detroit engine with 2 outdrives and is 30 feet long, someone told me about a boat hes selling but i didn't get the Brand name right and now i can't find a boat using DETROITS engines with 30 feet long, also he told me the boat have steering control on 2 floor ..

if any of you could help with some names, i want to see what the boat looks like. Thanks

I don't know of anybody running Detroits, but Dusky has a 33footer that runs a single Yanmar with twin mercruiser outdrives... http://www.dusky.com/boats/dus33d.html

I saw an article a few years back where Mastry had a single engine/twin outdrive set up..

thats a nice boat looks great. I will ask tomorrow to get the brand name of the boat, the guy told me it cost him $170k new in year 2000 but thats weird if theres no boat with detroits, maybe it was Custom made.

How do they do it?... Hydraulic motors, or is it geared off the one engine?

Seeing how the engine is right below the cockpit I'd say that there has to be a gear box in between.

Wouldn't that setup defeat a lot of the advantages of twins (chiefly maneuverability)?
