30 HP 4 Stroke w/ Longevity, durability

I've recently inherited a 16' jon boat that needs a new motor. Have settled on a 30 maybe a 35 HP. The boat will be used infrequently in coastal creeks, pleasure/touring, some fishing/duck hunting. Looking for the most realiable make and model that will last a long time. Appreciate the feedback.

In that power range you will have to settle for a carbed engine, TB.<br /><br />I've heard nothing but good stuff about the new Hondas in that range.

Mercury 30 hp 4 stroke EFI. That's what I would buy.
