30 HP Evinrude

Hi, I have a 30 HP Evinrude I think it's about a 1984. It is a tiller (handle) type with the throttle etc.. on the arm. My question and it might be stupid is there anyway to convert this motor to controls that would mount on a console? And if so is it costly and or complicated?

depends on if you have the mount for the steering to attach to. I had a 1978 35hp that I spent like $400 on converting from one to the other. I was going from remote to tiller though, so it may be a lot easier/cheaper the other way around. Do you have any of the parts needed, like controls, cables, steering, etc? That stuff will add up real fast if you don't.
