30hp evinrude

i have a late 80's 30hp evinrude. this is the 2nd time ive owned this motor. the guy i originally bought it from had it converted to remote steering. i sold the boat and motor. he bought bigger motor. i got it back. going to put it on a 1648 alumacraft ncs. i want to put a tiller handle back on it. where can i get one?

im not sure exactly what year model it is. it has been painted over and i cant read anything on the tag. any other way i can tell what year it is?

Use some paint thinner,,,,,,,,,,or borrow the wife's finger nail polish remover and clean the paint off the tag. Post back what you find......
