picked up a decent 1993 30hp yamaha a month ago, gave it a tune up new head gasket and head cover gasket, cleaned all 3 carbs, fresh gas fresh lower unit oil etc. put a brand new prop on it and compression is now 135psi per hole compaired to 60 psi a hole before new head gasket lol. anyways, i finally fixed it all up a few days ago and was running it on the stand with muffs, goes into gear fine on the stand, bring it to the cabin and throw it on my boat and it would keep stalling everytime i would try to shift into forward or reverse, does anyone have any ideas of where i can start looking into the issue? its a tiller model if it makes a difference. thanks
