After years of dragging my feet I've finally decided to do something with this 33hp.
My tinkering is usually on 10hp and below, and as such, I have no experience with electric start systems. I'm pretty sure I'm not strong enough to rope start this beast, and I'm way out of my comfort zone.
What do I need to do to energize this starter? Does this harness connect to a key switch, or do I need connect a junction box to get this starter to energize?

Looks to be a 1965 model.----Yes they did use a junction box.----But with some wiring knowledge you can wire it direct.

Send me your e-mail address in a PM (Private Message) and I'll send you a wiring diagram showing how to do it without the junction box. Remind me in the PM what you are looking for.
