35 evinrude lower unit and year

need to know the year of this 35 evin model 35652s sn eooo1054 and have found a 35 1978 lower unit for it will it fit what ever year mine turs out to be thanks

Your engine is a 1976, Bandit.<br /><br />Don't know if a '78 leg will fit or not.<br /><br />Joe Reeves can tell us. He should be along.

Hi Bandit....<br /><br />Did some looking....the water pump is a different type on the 78, meaning better, but the 78 will bolt up OK to the 76'.
