35 Johnson stuck in fwd gear

I was making an adjustment to the gear selector cable & i moved the controler arm (gear selector) & it went a little loose. Now i only have forward gear, does anybody know how i can fix it?<br /><br />Thanks...

Rocket..... It would appear that you may have pulled the shift linkage apart. However, the linkages differ through the years. What is the model number of your engine?
