I was changing the front Crank shaft pulley on my 350 CI gmc engine. The dampener looks strange to me. The crank is a full inch back from the large washer that holds it on. It sure looks like it should be flush with the dampener. The dampner appears to be back as far as it should go, looking from the top and sides plus the belts all line up. Is this wrong?
It's just an old 350 inboard nothing special. Maybe a 1975 block.
