Looking really hard at purchasing an 07 Crownline 240 LS with a 350 MAG. First, is this enough engine for a 25 ft boat? Second, since this will be my first 350, potentially, what are everyone's thoughts on this engine? Good or bad. All are welcome.

That's not going to break any speed records. Might get you into the low forties, maybe. Engines are good, easy to keep up & repair. They are Chevy truck engines outfitted with different exhausts & intakes. Your 4.3 is 3/4 of a 5.7.

Maybe this will eliminate a few spats on the lake since I like to go FAST, but my wife, not so much. Thanks NHGuy. Anybody else wish to weigh in?

Crownlines are heavy boats. I have a 202BR with a 5.7l EFI. It is the same engine just TBI injection and a little less ponies. In a boat that size I would want a 7.4l at least and would hope for a 496 or 502. The 350 MAG is a good engine but that is a big heavy boat. It probably has a Bravo III (I would hope) so that would get it out of the hole but your tops speeds would probably be in the mid 40s.

Good engine . . . 350's have been around for a long time. Power is OK, since it is the Magnum version of the 350.

I owned a 350Magnum (carburetted) before and since last year a 350MAG MPI on a 29ft. The 350 are nice fair minded engines. Nothing to race with, but giving good torque and OK average fuel consumption as well. There is nothing to warn you about.

A single 350MAG in a 29ft boat with 3,5 tonns of weight is something between fun and masochistic ;-)
You will be on the funny side!
