350 OMC King Cobra

Whats is up with the smaller outdrive on my boat?? It does say King Cobra on it, but its smaller than other King Cobra outdrives I have seen. I was told that the boat has some kind of performance 350??/ HO?? and thats why it has smaller outdrive?? but it is a King Cobra outdrive. Its a 1988 Sunbird Eurosport2.

OMC just LOVED the name King Cobra. So the used it a lot.
I know of 3 completely different drives, all called King Cobra.

1988 King Cobra is just a regular Cobra drive, they just fancied up the engine a bit with flashy orange plug wires, 4 bbl carb, oil pressure and temp O/T alarm switches, same thing with the 460 (although it does have a bigger, beefier drive) The real King Cobra drives didn't start to come out until 1990 with cone clutch shifting (454/460)
