My motor has a 351 inboard "log style" exhaust manifolds. It also uses a heat exchanger.

Can I switch to the other type that the riser mounts on the top, rather than the end like mine.

Will I have to buy some kind of kit? The reason is that I can buy a complete set of exhaust manifolds and risers for $250, however, will they work and what problems might I encounter? like risers too high (may hit the bottom of the deck)

Thanks,

Ayuh,... Sure....

Of course the inlets,+ outlets will be in different places,...
And,..
Of course you'll still have to make the water hoses,+ exhaust tubing line up with what's there....
And,..
Of course,.. None of Us can see your set-up, muchless tell you if you have the Space to make it Work...

You will need a set of elbows between the exhaust hose off the riser and the exhaust hose on top of the y pipe, EBay.
Exhaust hose from NAPA.
