i need a assemblay diagram for a shift linkage set up.the part i need to install is the shift detent.it locates the gear and keeps it from disengaging thanks <br /><br /> re: fudge

Don't know if it's the same ,but here's a view of a 1980 35 hp gearcase. #9 & 10 are the detent spring and balls.<br /><br />gearcase breakdown

thank you very much for the info.I believe i nee the shift assembly that goes into the the motor cover.the part is a steel flat bar with two indentations for fwd.@rev. gears. can you supply a breakdown of the right side inner housing. thankyou very much.<br />i see you live in corpus christi tx.I lived there for about a year.in was in the late 70s. i worked at the cement plant .centex cement it was called then. i believe it is no longer going.I spent a lot of time going to padre island. great place.<br />so long for now fudge.(dogs name)
