Hi,
I have no spark on either plug of my 83 evinrude
I've been gradually working through the diagnostic in the manual.
All resistances have been ok and the sensor coil appears to be giving the correct AC.
My question is whether conclusions can be drawn from using an ordinairy Fluke 179 multimeter to record the max voltage from the charge coil when I pull the cord. Currently it reads max 93 volts (below the required value) but I am concerned that the voltmeter may not be reading correctly due to it being a true RMS device...
Advice gratefully received. Once charge coil eliminated I can move onto the the power pack.
Regards, David
