35hp johnson remote questions

How hard it is to replace broken cables for the throttle and other cables going to the motor? I'm thinking about buying motor from a freind a guy who cut the cables to put a different remote on, but ended up not doing it, now the motor just has cut cables. Thanks and fill me in on any other info i might need to know. Thanks!

Throttle and shift cables are around $35 each,but if it's electric start that cable will be $100 or more,if it is still available.If it is No Longer Available (NLA) it can be spliced,but will probably be a problem evermore.<br /><br />DHP
