Ayuh,...

Wander over to the Edlebrock site,+ see if they offer an Electric converstion...

If they Do,... Buy it....

The Edlebrocks,+ the Merc/ Weber is the exact Same carb....

I've been using Edlebrock parts on mine for Years,..

my experiance is with autos not boats but two ways of doing this,, first the carter carb set up for a carb mount'd choke has a diff top then the one you have,, you can how ever use a intake mount'd choke from a late 60's to early 70 chyr product that had a carter carb , that electric choke came with a sensor to activate it so all you need is a key'd power fed to it , the sensor bolt'd on to the choke mounting bolt and was wire'd to the heating eliment.
the arm can be fab'd to what ever length you need

now finding an older carb'd car can be a problem, most have been crush'd . but if you can't find any thing i may still have one in my tool box , i'l take a look see , if i do it's yours
