4.3 conversion ignition

Old motor: Mercruiser 4.3 with I believe a T-Bolt IV ignition

New Motor: 4.3 rebuild from a '96 S10 (true vortec + balance shaft)

To avoid having to deal with an electric fuel pump since the 96 block has no provision for a mechanical, would the newer balance shaft crank fit the '90 block?

Will the old T-Bolt IV ignition run the vortec motor?

Will the flywheel on the '90 work on the '96 balance wise?

No.

Seems like allot of work to tear apart a good rotating assembly just to avoid an electric fuel pump. Its only a couple of wires and some minor fuel line mods...

It Should,...

I'd also go electric on the fuel pump....

OK, going with the balance shaft block. After getting the other apart, it is just trashed anyway. I just wasn't sure what shape the '96 was in.

Good to know on the ignition

Figures on the flywheel since the donor motor didn't come with one.

Any idea if the coupler will interchange to the new flywheel?

Thanks guys.
