Hey folks, going on 1 year and 105 hours on my 2014 Four Winns H190 with a 4.3 225 A EFI. The dealer has done the first 20 hour service as well as some warranty work. I am looking for some tips and advice for maintenance I can do myself to save some money and keep me busy. The manual lays out what should be checked and replaced year 1, 2, 3 etc but I don't see hours listed. I live on the water as does my boat so we use it a lot. Somebody can clock 20 hours or 200 hours in just 1 season. Annual service means nothing to me. 100 hours seems like a safe oil change interval what do you all think? What else should I do while changing the oil or throughout the season?
1) oil change
2) filters
3) belts & hoses
4) plugs
5) what else?

I am no pro but I know the basics. Volvo tells me as long as I keep recipts and record hours I will not have issues with warranty claims.

And finally, Can someone explain what is up with Volvo fuel pumps? Is it only the fuel injected, carburated or both? At 80 hours my fuel pump started to whine. I am one of the lucky ones to have this replaced under warranty. how do I know the new one won't fail as well? I am sorry for all those who aren't as lucky.

Ayuh,..... I can't argue with 100 hour oil, 'n filter changes,....

Belts, 'n hoses,..?? When they look bad,.... ditto the spark plugs,... Check 'em at 500 hours the way yer rackin' 'em up,....

Sounds good to me. Oil, filter and gear oil changed. That should keep her happy for the season. Thanks mate :)

Might I add that you check out the maintenance schedule for the outdrive too.
