Re: 4.3 EFI will not run in idle. Help

Update!!!!!
Motor started fine this am then stalled however we did manage to get out of the slip and into open water and headed home motor ran great 45mins at 3100 rpm until we approached the home narrows and placed motors in idle !!!!! Port stalled started it again and got into home slip without stalling. After tying up at slip stopped and started motor again and she stalled.
I am at a loss as to my next move. Fuel is OK just filled the tank Starboard motor is running good same tank
Can't be ignition because it runs good at 100rpm more than idle speed.
PLEASE HELP

IAC motor can do that. Swap it out with the one on your good motor.

Thank you scoflaw but I do not know where the Mercruiser Idle Air Control Motor is located or what it looks like an trying a search now to try and determine.

Re: 4.3 EFI will not run in idle. Help

Found the IAC motor and switched the star with the port that solved the problem.
I cleaned the port IAC before installing it on the Star motor and now both motors are running good.
I will order one for a spare it is an easy change.
It is located (Looking directly down on the throttle intake at about 10 to on a clock face) 1 elec' plug and 2 screws and pop it out. Watch out for the : ring.
Here are the part #'s for those interested.
Mercruiser # 805224A1---------- Sierra # 18-7632 --------Mallory # 9-33401
This link will show the parts for Mallory and sierra ---- http://www.iboats.com/Mercruiser-Idle-Air-Control-Motor/dm/view_id.270181

Thanks again scoflaw for helping resolve this.

Regards
