I don't know the technical terms here, but both sides of the engine are leaking a fast drip of water into the bilge from the rubber coupler attaching the exhaust elbow to the downpipe section. Is that something that probably just needs cleaned and reclamped? Should I replace the rubber couplers? Thanks.

Try tightening the clamps first, they sometimes take a set and need retightening.

Try tightening. If you have to disassemble and clean you will need gaskets for the elbow to manifold. Only use OEM Mercruiser gaskets there. If the rubber is burnt from a previous lack of water event, then you'd need to replace the couplers. Only you or a mechanic can determine that - be purely guesswork for anyone here.

Agree retighten and they can get a set as mentioned.
First loosen clamps (should be 4 clamps on each) and remove the boots to inspect. If they look ok, flip them over and reinstall

Take a set, is where the round rubber boot doesn't look round anymore because the exhaust is not round but a bit oval
