Cheers!

just picked up a 1990 sport craft with 4.3 merc 2 barrell carb. The first cold start of the day is perfect. starts right up and runs fine but seems to stumble at idle and eventually dies (could be bad fuel). But after the first start if the boat is warmed up it will not want to start again unless i try cranking it multiple times in a row(even still it wont always start)

i look down the carb and see gas collecting at the bottom. also the 2 "fingers" that hang over the carb at the top are still dripping out fuel even with the boat is off.

Im assuming it wont start because it is flooding, Is this a float problem? or a needle problem? whole carb need to be rebuilt? No bogging or hesitation. just seems to be flooded after the first cold start once it gets warmed up.

Thanks

Bump!

im heading to boat now. im going to play with float height and air/fuel screw to see if that solves anything.
