Ok Please bear with me this might not sound right. I have a 1990 4.3 i/o alpha one 190 model. I just bought the boat and noticed oil laying on intake manifold right under the throttle linkage but its not gas. Didnt notice anything leaking from carb anywhere so i just wiped the oil up. Well i just started the motor after tune up new hoses and etc. normal mantiance. It started and ran fine about 30 min i let it run. Also checked ignition timming. I didnt notice anything leaking anywhere. I just went into boat today and the oil was in the same spot. Now the question is; would it be possible for the intake to be craked causing oil to come up through the intake manifold. I cant figure out where its coming from. Thanks For any Help in advance.

The Valve cover,.. or the breather tube are about the only things Above that point,.. with any oil in them......

I'll have a Look if you want to send it to; bond1o(at)goDoT com.........
Make SURE to include "Boat" in the subject line,.. Or I'll Never See It.........

Well just a quick update, the problem was that one of the intake manifold bolts were loose and that was leaking oil but only when engine was running (oil pressure up) Well as soon as i turned the bolt the engine smoothed right out. It must of also been causin a vacume leak while engine was running. Well just wanted to update everyone. :D
