4.3 mercruiser running on?

A couple of times out on the lake the other day when I swithed the motor off, it would "diesel" or run on. Thats usually because the timing is off right?

yes - in my experience, the timing is prolly off - the carb cold also be not adjusted quite right. do you have a timing light?

Galloping Ghost- No I dont have a timing light in my bag of tricks, but should pick one up now it seems. Are they hard to use?<br /><br />Blk-n-Blu- thanks for the link, good info. I always use premium gas, kinda makes me think I gotta give it a full tune up. How easy are those carbs to adjust?
