I am inquiring about a 1988 4.3 Chevrolet v-6 marine motor. I recently purchased a boat, and due to the previous owner failing to winterize the motor, the block is junk. I am having a hard time to locate a block (last week the machine shop had one, but not the correct one, now I am one the hunt for one). My motor is from the 1988 4.3 chevy(OMC). The biggest problem I am running into, is various 4.3s are either a roller cam motor and use an electric fuel pump, or various motors are mechanical fuel pumps with a hydraulic camshaft (non roller). Well the motor that came out of the boat is a mechanical fuel pump roller camshaft motor. To which no luck l can not locate one. <br />I do not want to have to make backets, etc and change things, Any suggestions, any outfits out there that can set me up with a motor...?<br /><br />What are the main differences from auto 4.3, and Marine 4.3...?<br /><br />Your time and assistance is greatly appreciated,
