Hello all,
My 1990 glastron does not crank on every turn of the key switch. Sometimes it takes 7-10 turnes and it then it cranks. Boats are new to me but I get basics, safe to assume it is key switch or solenoid and the wires that connect them or do boats have an added issue?
On the studder- yesterday was first time it happened but it was consistent uppon acceleration to get on plane. 1-2 seconds at most and then ran fine. Plugs and or basic tune best place to start?
Thanks much,
Tony

For the cranking problem http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=167035

Yes, a tuneup would be a good place to start. Include a compression check, timing adjustment, and idle mixture adjustment. ALL the basic tuneup stuff. There is more to a tuneup than just replacing a few parts.

Thanks Don. What is the best place to get the specs for timing and plug gap?
