4.3L Coupler Inspection?

Hi guys,

While I'm waiting on my motor, it occurred to me that I probably need to inspect the engine coupler when I remove the old engine. What should I look for on this item as far as wear? The engine is an 89 4.3L 4bbl carb. Should I replace with new or reuse it? Seems awfully old...

Look that the rubber shows NO signs of slipping, isn't cracked, no signs of melted rubber. Look at the inner splines, square shoulders? If pointy replace.
