4.3L doesnt want to start.

hi all. went to start the engine for the first time since replacing the intake gasket and carb gasket and it doesnt seem to want to turn over. . . I am getting spark. . already checked and I just dont know quite what it could be. . any help thanks

Won't "Turn Over", or won't "Start".. ???<br />Won't "Turn Over", Check the starter wiring....<br />Won't "Start", You need, Fire, Fuel,+ Compression,All at the Right Time...... Your Missing 1....

wont start. . It turns and turns and turns and . . well you know . . going out to try some things now

was it running befor? how long ago? you're sure everything got hooked back up?

it was running before. . Then I took it apart to replace the gaskets and now I cant get it going again. . I think my carb may be messed up. . I took off my air cover and had a buddy turn the key and didnt see any misting of fuel. . this may be part of the reason???? what would that mean?

What where you trying to solve by replacing that gasket?Is the choke set properly? What informational resources are you working from, other than this board?

so, no fuel squirting into carb throats when throttle worked? there probably isn't any fuel in float bowl/s yet.

Just a thought.When you had carb. off to put manifold gaskets on could you of plug your fuel supply line to carb with something or got something in it to stop it up? Did you try unscrewing the canister fuel filter to see if it had fuel in it?

pour a little fuel in the carb. see if it starts. be careful if u try this.
