could failing fuel pumps cause diminished performance? What is the likelihood of both pumps failing at same rate? Both motors perform the same.

If you think 2 fuel pumps failing at the same time, imagine the odds of two engines overheating and burning up the shutters at the same time, and then the pieces falling into the same place that blocks the exhaust at the same time??????

What exactly is happening? I know you say diminished performance, but that isn't telling us much.
Also, are the engines EFI? Do you have sn's for them?

Ayuh,.... From the top, ya pull the elbows, 'n look down to see if they're Ok...
If ya Don't see 'em at the top of the y-pipe,...
From the bottom, ya pull the drive, 'n look up..
