Similar to a series of posts by Gary in 2007, I have a 2000 Bayliner 4.3L, and a piece of the block has broken away where the outside starter bolt mounts. His solution was to MIG weld up the broken piece and drill a 10mm hole through the upper portion of the mount. Then he used a longer bolt c/w nut to secure the starter motor. I am wondering how that fix has worked for the past 3 years and if it has worked well, could someone give all the details regarding the method of the MIG welding? Also, has anyone had success with ?77? rods from http://www.muggyweld.com/cast.html ? Thank you, Dave
