1990 production 4.3L gm marinized by kodiak. center bolt valve covers. non- vortec. in 2001 exchanged heads for rebuilt. removed pushrods, rockers, rocker balls, and rocker adjusting nuts and re-used them on rebuilt heads. old heads and rebuilt heads both had 8mm screw in rocker studs. the 8mm rocker adjusting nuts are not self locking and would not hold adjustment for more than 1-2 minutes running time. i could not, cannot, locate any 8mm locking rocker arm nuts. my "temporary" solution 150+ hours ago was to squeeze them in my vise and oval the holes but would like to find a more permanent solution. anybody know a fix?

GM Dealer would have or could order for you..

Not sure here, but are you absolutely sure those are 8mm?.. My experience there are usually 3/8"-24 or maybe 7/16"-24 thread? I dunno?
