Last week I posted because I had trouble getting my boat started.
On saturday I had the same issue but kept a an eye on the carb when starting it.
I pumped the accelerator a couple of times and watched the fuel spray into the carb.
I turned the key and it started right up but stalled after a few seconds.
I pumped the carb again but no fuel.
I cranked the engine over a couple of times but still no fuel.
I then disconnected the fuel line at the carb and tried again.
No fuel out of the line
I tried it couple more time before fuel came out of the line.
I connected it back up, it started on the first try and ran fine for the rest of the day.
Same issue on Sunday but I repeated the steps above and it worked fine.
Does this mean the fuel pump is going? Could it be the water separator clogged? Maybe somthing in the tank?
I am trying to avoid spending $150 to $250 on a pump if I do not need it.
