I have a 4.3 LX thunderbolt ignition ,just rebuilt, sounds great out of water. when you put it under load the rpm read over 4800 and the engine starts to cut up. but the engine doesn't sound like it close to that rpm. it's more like 35 to 3800 rpm. from get go it's fine as long as the rpm stay below that range(4800). Ive checked my wires and they seem to be in the right place. it will only go 25mph, and before it would hit 40mph,anybody have an idea.thanks

I forgot to mention that i disconnected the gauge at the coil, its the same it cuts up. hooked it back up and now i don't have a clue.(coil,dist., or the thunderbolt box). they were fine before the rebuilt.

Ayuh,... What's the Vintage,..?? Is it T-Bolt IV, or T-Bolt V,..??
they were fine before the rebuilt.

Go back,+ recheck all your work,... Something's Not right...
I wouldn't be blaming the Igntion System parts at this point...
