Only 3 days left - you can still buy this barely used prop for 1/2 the original cost.

1 day left - current bid is 62.00 thats still less than 1/2 the original price. This includes the fow-torq hub for a mercruiser alpha 1. Don't miss your chance.

I'd be very interested to know how this prop performs for you. I am looking at the same prop for my boat but have no idea if it is a good performing prop and have nothing else to go on. You seem to be the only one I've found so far (and by luck at that), that has that prop.

Thanks,
Andy

I really like the votex prop it is very well designed and the blades have a lot of cupping which gives it a good hole shot. I bought a Solas Amita to replace it and just looking at them (haven't ran the solas yet) the vortex seems to be the better built prop. I would have bought another vortex but they just don't make them in a smaller pitch. The only reason I am replacing it is I do alot of wakeboarding and with the votex I was hitting 4000 rpm's at wot. Manufacturer rec is 3900-4300. I really want to hit 4300 for maximum hole shot. I was running it on a 1978 19' cuddy cabin with a 120hp mercruiser stern drive. If I just had a little more motor or a slightly lighter boat the prop would have been perfect.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. This is the prop I'm interested in hearing about. The Solas Amita is the only 4 blade alum I can find for the Suz. DF115 (14" max dia.).

Thanks,
Andy

haven't ran the solas yet to compare. They make a lot of claims about their prop 5-10% hp increase, squize press casting for stronger blades and multi layered paint for corrosion resistence. the prop does seem to have thicker and more solid blades but just doesn't seem to be finished as well as some other props. if thier claims are true then I will be very happy. I will let you know after I run it.
