4 Blade Stiletto the right prop?

Hi,
My current boat is a 1999 Glastron 17' with a Johnson 115. I am currently running a 3 blade 13.5 X 18 SS Raker prop. With two people and full load of fuel my WOT is 5400RPM trimmed up. I am considering going to a 13.5 X17 SS 4 blade Stilleto prop. My son is a good skier (220#'s) but is a hard guy to pull up on a comp. slalom ski. I also get ventilation when making tight turns with tubers. My question is whether or not I wll see substantial improvement with the new prop? Thanks.

Substantial is a rather loose term since one or two MPH for example may be a dramatic improvement for some but a dismal failure for others. My thoughts are that you will have better hole shot, less venting on turns possibly a slight loss of WOT RPM and a resulting loss of speed. But then when switching numbers of blades, manufacturers and styles of props all at the same time, its very difficult to predict what will happen.

I have a 4 blade on a I/O, no real difference in hole shot or cornering. big difference in midrange and lower planing speed's. I take it your looking at the baypro 111's, the 11's i can tell you have a lot of stern lift..really gets the boat out of the water..... when on plane...... and smoother feel to..

I did run a 3 blade stilletto in direct comparsion and it did hold a better corner than the 4 blade....maybe due in part to the amount trim but going straight they were both hooked up well and on tight turns the 3 blade held better.
