4 Cyl. Chevy mercruiser Distributor

My Brothers Boat with a 1980 4cyl. Chevy 2.5L, Mercruiser 140, needs a new distributor shaft. Can anyone tell me what years this shaft will work in? Trying to locate a used shaft first. Thanks for your time.<br /><br />Mike

Whats wrong? Need a new gear? They can be replaced. But I bet Bondo can sell you the whole thing for less?

BONDO, YES THIS IS A POINT TYPE. I HAVE SEVERE SIDE TO SIDE SLOP. IF YOU HAVE A COMPLETE ONE,HOW MUCH? THIS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.
