I have a 1985 4cyl OMC that was stored over the winter. The last run in the fall everthing sounded fine etc. Now I took it out in the spring ran it in the lake and instead of it sounding like a humming 4 cyl it sounds more like a throaty V-8. It runs fine, temp looks good, just that the noise is louder (sounds like a bigger engine)than I have heard before. it does this will idling and slow speed, sounds like it always had when it is wide open or going faster ? I notice nothing different in performance, the only thing that seems a little different is there seems to be more churning of water (Exhaust/water) from the rear when it is at an idle? Any help would be appreciated
