I just found out from Alumacraft, that my 14 foot Model FDR runabout is indeed a 1959 model, and that it is Number 257 of only 702 built from 1959 to 1960.
They REALLY had to do some digging to find the info on the boat for me.
I'm SUPER excited about this information, but I'm more excited about owning this rare beauty.....
Now the restoration begins 8)
Also a big "hat's off" to "vintageamumacraft" because he dug up most of this info BEFORE Alumacraft did.... Attaboy Brian 8)
Here's the email I received from Sue Prax at Alumacraft.

I finally have a copy of our 1960 catalog page to send to you.
This boat was only built for two model years,
59 and 60. We only built a total of 702.
I will have the catalog page scanned and mailed to you today, if you supply your full address.
I will be waiting for your reply.
