4 hp dies under load

Hi
I have a 4hp johnson(BJ4BRHESR) which idles fine and will rev up to full revs in neutral.It will run in gear in idle but when you want to get top revs it just dies but if i throttle back quick it stays running any ideas.

Dan, have you checked for good spark on both cylinders? Sounds like you might be running on only one cylinder. If the spark is good, look at the high speed jet in the carb for any trash.
