i have a 1972 4 hp seahorse. I got it from a guy that says it was running. When I got it home, Itwould only run for a few seconds after much pulling. I took it to a boat mechanic. he first thought it was an intermittent spark. put new parts in then rebuilt the carb. Still the same. he says there is 50 lbs of compression in both cylanders,and that is not enough. Is he correct? and if so can it be repaired?
