4 stoke johnson

i am looking at buying a used boat and was wanting to know what the dependability of this motor was.
it is a 2003 60/40 jet 4 stroke EFI. Is this a good motor? Reliable? Any known problems. thanks

Not sure about the jet unit, but the engines were made by Suzuki and are very reliable. Does the SEMO stand for Southeast Missouri State??

the inefficency, of the jet drive accounts for the 60/40. if it was a prop driven lower unit it would be rated 60 hp, but the jet drops it to 40 hp output.

Yes that means, Southeast Missouri State. But also just southeast missouri. yes i know it is only 40 hp at the jet. or i think 42 to be exact. so these are very reliable motors? why did suzuki make the johnson motors? i thought it was johnson/evinrude?
