i was having idle problems with my 1989 yamaha model 40elf oil injected 2 stroke with the "e" model carbs. i soaked and blew out the carbs and rebuilt them with an oem kit. it used to idle well at 1 1/4 turns out on the idle mixture screw before i started having problems. now it idles best at 1 1/2 turns, but hesitates on acceleration, so i've got it at 1 3/8 turns which seems the best comprimise; it seems to run fine there but the plugs look a little wet. is it normal for a two stroke plug to look a little damp? i'm new to two strokes so i'd appreciate any help. thanks!
