I have a 3-part question,(#1) Curious to know the exact year of this engine#J40TELEIA,Seller claims"93" (#2) It is equipped with a oil injection system the obvious so you do not need to premix! My concern was a alarm or auto shut off in the instance you run out or low on oil! I'm sure it may have happened to the best of us in the past! There is no visable gauge or lamp mounted on the boat. Curious to know if there may be some form of shut off on the motor itself. Would this have been a factory installed oil unit or an aftermarket product?<br />And last of all (#3) Seller claims that there is some seepage in the lower unit didn't say how long this has been going on. Is there some visable way to detect damage or do you asume? Could this just be minor or major? The engine runs fine at slow and high speeds,no apparent excess vibration that I could tell. Welcome to the Wonderfull World of Boating Huh!

1991, alarm horn is in remote control, it will self test with a short beep when you turn key on. Drain some oil look for water and metal shavens. Refill gearcase with gear oil.
