40 HP 1994 Mariner Magnum

I'm thinking about going to a 4-stroke, probably the Suzuki 40. Does anybody know about what a well maintained, good running '94 Mariner Magnum should sell for and what I can expect to get from a dealer as a trade in? Thanks

$1500?? maybe more, or less? Depends on the local market, and whether or not the buyer has the money to buy a new one instead.<br /><br />As a trade-in, don't expect much.<br />They will try to make it look like more, but they will be subtracting the tradein value, from the list price of the new motor, not the normal selling price of the new motor.<br /><br />They will also try to make up the difference by charging you (more) for installation, delivery, freight, etc.

Thanks for your help. $1500 sounds about right and I figured they wouldn't give much on a trade in.
