Tried New Prop. Still have the same problem. When going past fast idle and turning, motor is still be popp'n out-a gear. Could it be cables pulling and causing problem?? If so, how can I fix this permanently???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I feel like I came in on the middle of a conversation. What was the original complaint and what was the solution tried??

What you describe, Eric, sounds like cable adjustments to me.

Red sky at night.
JB

You mentioned turning. If it pops-out when you turn, then pops right back in, it is more than likely cavitation.
I would drain the lower unit into a pan, and feel thru the goo for chips of metal. Anything larger than a grain of salt, and you have gear damage. Some fine shavings can be concidered normal wear.
Also, note it's color. Gray or brownish-tan means water, which would indicate a leak.
The adjuster for your engine is on the starboard side, towards the front of the engine. It will be a 2" long bolt, with q lock nut on each side. I would REMOVE it first, and mark it's maximum travel, forward to reverse, just to be sure it's not binding or bending the shift fork inside the gearcase.
