I have a 1964 40 hp Lark Electric shift that is stiff (hard to turn the flywheel and turns the prop in forward). I can tell that it is stiff in the lower unit rather than the powerhead. I'll be removing and opening it to see what the problem is. <br /><br />My question is, is this LU the same part from 1962 through 1967 (or whatever years, in case I find another within this range)? What about other sizes (hp) of motors?
